My story
Before I started Wu Tao, I did not feel complete in all areas of my life. Whilst I am grateful for all the things I have in my life and the opportunities I have had, there was something missing.
As a Shiatsu Massage Therapist, I understood the importance of maintaining balance in my mind, body and spirit and supporting the Qi (energy) to flow freely. However, working full-time, and with all the other things that get in the way, I felt disconnected to this area of my life. When in WA, I attended a Wu Tao Dance class with Michelle Locke (Founder of Wu Tao Dance). I decided to undertake the Wu Tao Instructor Training Program. I felt so energized, relaxed and balanced after the class and wanted more of this in my life. I also loved the synergy between Shiatsu and Wu Tao regarding the connection to the meridians, Life force energy and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Wu Tao has supported me in the following ways:
- To reconnect to my true self and focus on what is important
- To manage stress more effectively
- To experience peace and balance on all levels (mind, body & spirit)
- To tone my body and core strength
- To create healthy boundaries
- To move through emotional and physical blocks more effectively.

Wu Tao has become a regular practice in my life. I feel great when performing the dances as it moves the energy and supports my body to maintain optimal health.
Wu Tao has re-energised my life in a positive way and has supported me to let go of what is not serving me well and to re-focus on what is important. My passion is to support others in becoming a better version of themselves, and to assist them to feel more balanced and at peace with themselves and life.
My business now incorporates my two passions, Wu Tao and Shiatsu. I am looking forward to running Wu Tao Dance classes and providing Shiatsu Massage to the Tasmanian community.
